The Inauguration of President Barack Obama

crying listening to Obama

Being back in DC gave me the opportunity to wander the mall during President Barack Obama’s second Inauguration. While there were about 1.2 million less people attending than four years ago, the mall was still packed with supporters. I, along with Ben Lowy, made camp under one of the many digital screens broadcasting the ceremony on the mall. The inauguration can be an overwhelming event to cover, with so many things going on, I tried to focus on the section I was in instead of trying to do too much. These are some of my favorites from the day.
